Meet The Founder
Kelly Poquiz Burke is a Keynote Speaker, Executive Coach, Podcast Host, and the Founder & CEO of Career Slay. She partners with leaders and organizations navigating the current realities of the marketing and advertising industry including burnout, tight timelines, constant change, and the pressure to perform by helping them gain clarity, build confidence, elevate communication, and lead with greater emotional intelligence. Her work centers on aligning values with leadership behaviors so leaders show up with courage, integrity, and impact.
Kelly brings 14+ years of experience across global agencies and Fortune 500 consumer brands, where she helped shape and scale billion-dollar brand platforms and led award-winning Super Bowl campaigns for Avocados From Mexico, Frito-Lay, and Doritos, garnering recognition from the Effies, Reggies, and the USA Today AdMeter. Her industry background spans CPG, retail, gaming, and foodservice. In 2023, Kelly was recognized with a Brand Innovators “40 Under 40” Award. Her background gives her a deep understanding of the complex demands placed on leaders in modern marketing organizations and the skills required to navigate them with composure, influence, and strategic clarity.
Her work is inspired by her personal journey of resilience--beating breast cancer while pregnant during the height of the pandemic in 2020. That experience transformed her purpose and solidified her belief that true success requires aligning how we work with how we want to live. Today, she helps leaders overcome burnout and pursue sustainable success through values-driven leadership, emotional intelligence, intentional communication, and Life-Work Alignment.
She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, is an ICF Associate Certified Coach, and is a graduate of HEROIC Public Speaking.
As a coach and facilitator, Kelly combines empathetic curiosity with sharp listening to help clients identify the real barriers holding them back and take practical steps to move forward. She balances warmth with accountability, empowering leaders to own their decisions and act with intention.
